ISRAEL & PALESTINE: THE MAPS TELL THE TRUE STORY

How does a defensive action result in the total conquest of someone else's lands? The answer is that it does not. Israel is the aggressor. The maps of Israel then and now prove it.

Israel's abuse of Palestinian children
Several countries, led by Britain, are putting increased pressure on Israel over the treatment of Palestinian children opposing the manner of their arrest and interrogation and also the conditions in which they are kept in custody.
MP Sandra Osborne, part of a British delegation that recently visited an Israeli military court which is attached to the prison in the West Bank, said of the visit: "For the children we saw that morning, the only thing that mattered was to see their families, perhaps for the first time in months ... A whole generation is criminalised through this process."

ZIONISTS WON'T LET YOU SEE THIS ON YOUR TV
Rachel Corrie: 'a true hero' was killed by the state of Israel, and by its brutal regime that practises not only 'mass punishment' but also 'ethnic cleansing'. The same regime that has displaced over 4 million Palestinians, and killed many thousands. The same regime that has denied the right to self-determination to the Palestinian people.
A regime that systematically destroys the lives of innocents every single DAY.

Netanyahu leading the fight against Israel's peace activists

The "price tag" graffiti sprayed on the home of Hagit Ofran of Peace Now on Tuesday is part of a consistent delegitimization campaign against left-wing organizations. Virtually not a day goes by without peace activists suffering threats to their lives or damage to their property. On the eve of the 16th memorial day in honor of former Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, who fell victim to a campaign of incitement by the extreme right, it seems that the lesson has not been learned

IS SHALIT’S LIFE WORTH MORE THAN 164 PALESTINIAN CHILD PRISONERS?

As of October 2011, 164 Palestinian children between the ages of 12 and 17 years old are behind bars, including 35 aged between 12 and 15 years old …
A life is a life, and a human being is a human being. So, many now ask why Gilad Shalit’s life is worth 1,027 Palestinian lives. To ask that is to not understand Israel. An Israeli life’s value cannot be estimated, whereas a Palestinian life is of very little to no value. I think I speak for most Palestinians when I say, I’m glad Gilad Shalit is home, safe and with his family, that Palestinians more than anyone understand what it’s like to lose a father, mother, brother, sister, daughter and son. More than anyone, Palestinians understand the joy he and his family must feel now that his back.

Ukraine tries Israeli human traffickers

Six members of an Israeli human trafficking ring, which operated in the Republic of Azerbaijan, are on trial in a special court in Ukraine. Three members of the ring, which specialized in selling body organs from trafficked victims, worked at a clinic in Azerbaijan's capital city of Baku, IRIB reported on Friday. Run by an Israeli national with no medical training, the clinic was used as a front for trafficking body organs harvested from Azeri children.

"Exploding Middle East Myths"
In this edition of the show we discuss the book: Exploding Middle East Myths, written by Greg Felton.
For nearly 63 years, since its creation in 1948, the state of Israel has carefully controlled what the Western world knows about the Zionist state.
As a result, what we have received from the mainstream media is reams of propaganda and little truth when it comes to the racist and bellicose state.
Against this backdrop of censored "news," one gutsy journalist took a dangerous stand and instead has been telling the truth about Israel for the last 15 years.
In Exploding Middle East Myths, you'll see the real Israel: brutal treatment of Palestinians, blatant disregard for Christians and Muslims, and parasitic control over foreign governments, especially the US.

Rabbi's arrested for selling body parts
An Israeli man who lives in Brooklyn pleaded guilty on Thursday to charges of brokering a kidney transplant as part of a black market organ business. This is the first human organ trafficking conviction in the United States. For many years, Israel has been at the top of organ trafficking. Rosenbaum received at least $450,000 for trafficked organs.

Palestine Statehood Bid: U.S. Cuts Off UNESCO Funding After Palestine Vote - Suprised..? No....

PARIS — Palestine became a full member of UNESCO on Monday in a highly divisive breakthrough that will cost the agency a fifth of its budget and that the U.S. and other opponents say could harm renewed Mideast peace efforts.
Soon after the vote, the United States cut funding to the organization because of a U.S. law that bars funding an organization that has Palestine as a member before an Israeli-Palestinian peace deal is reached.
That decision will have an immediate effect: The United States won't make a $60 million payment scheduled for November, according to State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland.
UNESCO depends heavily on U.S. funding – Washington provides 22 percent of its budget or about $80 million a year – but has survived without it in the past: The United States pulled out of UNESCO under President Ronald Reagan, rejoining two decades later under President George W. Bush
“UNICEF calls on the Israeli government to release Palestinian child detainees so that they can be reunited with their families,” said Jean Gough, a UNICEF representative for the West Bank and Gaza. “As stated in the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the detention of children should be used only as a measure of last resort and for the shortest appropriate period of time,” she said.
Israel is paying internet workers to manipulate online content
As many of you may have suspected, Israel is paying and training internet bloggers to delete, rewrite, and revise internet content to shape public opinion to Israel's benefit. Video of the Israeli-sponsored training programs have been leaked to the web (like the video here).
The Children Lose, Again

A California museum has cancelled an exhibit of art by Palestinian kids in Gaza, reportedly after pressure from pro-Israel groups in the Bay Area. The Museum of Children’s Art in Oakland had been working for months with the Middle East Children’s Alliance on the project, “A Child’s View of Gaza,” set to open in two weeks. Does it really need to be said: Kids shouldn't have to pay for the appalling cruelty and stupidity of adults. Look at this art.
Turning Tables: 'Israel illegal occupier if Palestine recognized'
The Israeli Defence Force is reportedly preparing settlers for the mass uprising of Palestinians, expected after the UN votes on a Palestinian statehood in September. The preparations include handing out tear gas and stun grenades to civilians.
Military resistance to Palestinians will only bring international sanctions on Israel after Palestine is recognised in September's vote. That's the view of Jeff Halper, a political activist and co-founder of the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions.

RAMADIN, Palestinian Territories — Palestinians desperate for work in Israel will go to extremes to sneak past the West Bank barrier, but now they face a new hurdle -- army attack dogs sent to sniff them out.
Workers say the use of dogs to hunt down anyone trying to enter Israel illegally is a new phenomenon which has only been occurring for about two months.
But it is a development which has quickly spread fear and anger among the worker population living in the south Hebron Hills, one of the poorest areas in the occupied Palestinian territories.
The Israeli army readily admits to using dogs in its operations in the West Bank, but says they are only brought in as a way of protecting the sprawling separation barrier from Palestinian vandals looking to create openings which would allow "terrorists" to infiltrate Israel.
"In order to prevent damage to the security fence, the IDF (army) uses a number of different measures, including the canine unit and its trained dogs, while taking appropriate precautionary measures to avoid unnecessary injury," the army said in a statement sent to AFP.

Israel targetting ambulances, women and children in Gaza
19 Palestinians were killed and more than 60 wounded in what can best be described as a series of targeted attacks; The assault was less destructive than 2008-2009 Cast lead operation, but more aggressive than the Israeli forces' minor- yet frequent- raids on the outskirts of Gaza. These images are what ministry has called "clear Israeli violations of international humanitarian law, during Israel's latest assault". The images depict direct and indiscriminate targeting of the civilian population and infrastructure. Pictures of children killed or wounded; elderly victims killed during the attacks, medical personnel injured, corpses charred beyond recognition, homes turned to rubble, and families mourning their dead. Ambulances and medical facilities are the regular targets of Israeli attacks, as are medical personnel. Clad in fluorescent orange vests they are clearly identifiable as medical teams, and hard to miss as targets. As seen in the footage, two were injured during the 3-day attack.

Tensions rise in the Gaza Strip as Israeli leaders threaten major ground invasion
A state of emergency was declared in Gaza yesterday as Israel threatened a major ground invasion of the Hamas-controlled territory.
The move came after more than 100 rockets were fired from Gaza into Israel in the past week and a bus bomb attack in Jerusalem on Wednesday in which Briton Mary Gardner, 59, was killed and 30 others injured.
In return Israeli jet fighters have bombed weapons compounds and tunnels in Gaza, killing eight Palestinians.
Yesterday Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned that his country would not be ‘subjected to bouts of terror and rocket attacks’. He said: ‘We stand ready to act with great force and great determination to put a stop to it.’
His education minister Dideon Sa’ar warned that Israel ‘will soon be left with no choice but to embark on an extensive military ground operation even bigger than Operation Cast Lead’ – a reference to 2008’s offensive which left more than 1,400 Palestinians dead and prompted international condemnation.

Israeli security chief celebrates Stuxnet cyber attack
Although Israel has not officially accepted responsibility for the Stuxnet attack, evidence of its role has been mounting since it was first discovered last July. The virus, unprecedented in its sophistication, was designed to infiltrate the control systems at Natanz and make hidden, damaging adjustments to vital centrifuges.
Attributing the source of cyber attacks in notoriously difficult, but security researchers say factors including complexity of the operation, which would have required human sources inside the Iranian nuclear programme, point strongly to the Israeli security forces. It has also been reported by The New York Times that a special facility was set up with American cooperation in the Israeli desert to test the weapon.
Immediately after the section on Stuxnet, the video tribute to Lt Gen Ashkenazi included a message from Meir Dagan, who was head of Israel's secret intelligence service Mossad during virtually all of Lt Gen Ashkenazi's time in charge of the IDF.

NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND …. UNLESS IT’S A PALESTINIAN CHILD
The Israeli Forces attacked and shot rubber bullets and sound bombs at the children so they could not run away, and then proceeded to arrest 13 of them. Several army vehicles came into the area for support, attacking houses and cars to frighten people so they could not come to the children’s defense.
The Israeli army has been arresting children in the village of Nabi Saleh for the past two months as a means of applying pressure on the village to end its popular unarmed resistance against the occupation. On Saturday 19 February, Israeli army officials adopted a similar strategy against the southern West Bank village of Beit Ummar. The village has been holding weekly unarmed demonstrations against the occupation and the confiscation of their land by illegal Jewish settlements such as Karmaei Tzur.

A Big Mideast War Coming in 2011
Jan. 15—The Economist, mouthpiece for the City of London financier oligarchy, prominently announced on Dec. 30, 2010, that this will be the year for a very big Middle East war: "Unless remedial action is taken, 2011 might see the most destructive [Middle East] war for many years," it proclaimed. "Every time an attempt at Arab-Israel peacemaking fails, as Barack Obama's did shortly before Christmas," the magazine gloated, "the peace becomes a little more fragile and the danger of war increases. Sadly, there is reason to believe that unless remedial action is taken, 2011 might see the most destructive such war for many years."

WHILE EVERYONE LOOKS AT EGYPT, ISRAEL BOMBS GAZA! GAZA CITY,
Palestinian Territories — The Israeli air force bombed a suspected smuggling tunnel on the Gaza-Egypt border on Wednesday in response to rocket attacks, the military said. No casualties were reported.
“The site was targeted in response to the recent rocket fire from the Gaza Strip,” a military statement said, referring to Grad rockets and mortar rounds fired from Gaza on Monday night, one of which exploded near a wedding in southern Israel, although nobody was injured.
Witnesses in the southern Gaza Strip town of Rafah said there were no casualties in the Israel air raid.
“Since the beginning of 2011, over 30 Grad missiles, Qassam rockets and mortar shells have landed in Israeli territory,” the military said, adding that it regarded Gaza’s Hamas rulers as responsible for all fire from the territory.

Condoleezza Rice: send Palestinian refugees to South America
The United States proposed giving Palestinian refugees land in South America as a radical solution to a problem that has haunted Middle East peace talks for decades.
Condoleezza Rice, the Bush administration's secretary of state, wanted to settle displaced Palestinians in Argentina and Chile as an alternative to letting them return to former homes in Israel and the occupied territories. Rice made the proposal in a June 2008 meeting with US, Israeli and Palestinian negotiators in Berlin, according to minutes of the encounter seen by the Guardian.
During a discussion about international funding to compensate refugees – an estimated 5 million Palestinians are scattered around the Middle East – the US diplomat made a startling suggestion.
"Maybe we will be able to find countries that can contribute in kind. Chile, Argentina, etc (ie, give land)."
The minutes, which are not verbatim, have the initials CR before the quote. Rice was the only participant with those initials.

Israel using Gaza as waste dump
Tel Aviv has been imposing a bottleneck on Gaza's import route since mid-June 2007, thus almost preventing the transfer of equipment and materials needed for the water and wastewater-treatment systems into the enclave, a Press TV correspondent reported. In 1967, when Tel Aviv occupied Gaza, the forces built three sewage treatment facilities there, which failed to treat most of the inflowing waste. The system was poorly modified during the 1980s. Gaza, home to nearly 1.5-million Palestinians, is currently almost four times more populous than the 80s but still dependent on the system. The already dysfunctional facilities were further damaged during Israel's frequent incursions over the past four years.

A Danish-British security company has sold torture instruments to the Israeli prisons, holding Palestinians inmates, a Danish newspaper has written. The firm, named G4s, sells the devices to the detention facilities in the occupied West Bank, which provide the necessary means for torture of the Palestinian prisoners, Berlingske Tidende reported on Nov. 23.
Merav Amir, from Who Profits?, an Israeli organization which is dedicated to expose those who stand to benefit from the occupation, said it knew that the firm did not directly engage itself in torture, has created the circumstances required for the abuse.

PALESTINIANS ASK ONE SIMPLE QUESTION …. WHERE EXACTLY CAN WE LIVE?
Let’s presume the majority of Israel’s government and people are not of the opinion of some other more radical elements in that society who call for the transfer of Palestinians outside the country [preferably to Jordan]. Let’s say the majority of Israelis still believe in “peace” – and I use this word loosely, and a settlement – even more loosely – with the Palestinians. If this majority believes the Palestinians should be able to live on land it can call its own, then the question that arises in light of circumstances that point to the contrary, is where exactly are these Palestinians allowed to live?

New research from Defence for Children International (DCI) shows that Gazan children are routinely fired upon if they stray too close to the border fence. They have documented 10 cases since May, of which six took place beyond Israel’s stated exclusion zone of 300m. Many more are expected in the coming weeks.
Khaled I, 16, used to collect gravel in the industrial zone by the fence. On July 31, 600m from the border, he was shot in the thigh with a 250mm calibre bullet that hit an artery and hospitalised him for 15 days. "They (Israeli soldiers) saw us every day and knew very well we were gravel collectors", Khalid told DCI. He says he will not return to work, even though "gravel collection is good because construction materials are banned from entering Gaza".

Israel and India: Brothers In Occupation of Kashmir
Torture. Secret prisons. Rape. Incessant murder of civilians. Military-enforced curfew. Suppression of information. Kidnapings. Property destruction. Ethnic cleansing. Scorched earth policies. Protests. Mass graves. Humiliation. Beatings. Missing persons. Intimidation. Occupation. No, this is not a description of the life of Palestinians under the 62 year occupation of the Zionist entity. No, this is not a description of the life of civilians living under brutal US-UK military occupation in Iraq or Afghanistan. This is a description of the life of civilians in Kashmir, under the despicable, savage and inhumane Indian occupation which has been in place for 63 years. Palestine has been politicized over and over by corrupt Arab and Muslim leaders. It has been used for propaganda by Western politicians vying for support from the Zionist lobby by bowing down to Israel, as well as the Zionist media to disseminate the ‘Israel is the victim’ theme and smear Palestinian Resistance. Kashmir however, isn’t even mentioned at all. It is disregarded by the dictators and monarchies of the Middle East. It is disregarded by the Zionist puppets and demagogues of the West. Kashmir has become a forgotten occupation

Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu has privately voiced his government’s worries about the consolidation of “Erdoganism” in Turkey following Sunday’s referendum which gave Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan additional powers to rein in the traditionally secular and anti-Islam circles, including the erstwhile sacrosanct Turkish army.
Moreover, the referendum has been viewed as a preview of Erdogan’s chances of winning a third term in office at general elections slated to be held in July.
Israel views the Turkish military establishment, which is traditionally aggressively secular and anti-Islamic, as its main ally.
Israel on several occasions tacitly urged the Turkish army to topple elected quasi-Islamic prime ministers such as Necmettin Erbakan in the mid 1990s.
According to the Israeli press, Netanyahu has asked his cabinet to meet in an emergency meeting to discuss the “latest developments” in Turkey.
The sources said Israel was worried that Turkey was further distancing itself from Israel and that the Jewish state was losing its last “stronghold” in Turkey, an allusion to the Turkish military establishment.

Suspicion Growing About Possible Link between outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and Israel
Amid the growing outrage over an Israeli attack on civilian ships in international waters that killed nine Turkish pro-Palestinian activists and wounded dozens last week, there is deepening suspicion about the possible Israeli involvement in the killing of seven soldiers in a terrorist rocket attack on a naval base in Ýskenderun, in the southern province of Hatay.
Turkish intelligence organizations are looking into possible connections between the two incidents that occurred on the same day only hours apart. The terrorist act was carried out by the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), an outlawed organization that has been listed as terrorist group both in Turkey and in much of the international community. Analysts claim Israeli secret services may have contracted the job to the PKK to send a message to the Turkish government.
