Clinton Turns to Naked Corporate-Fascism

The Washington Post has recently reported in an article titled, "Hillary Clinton turns to think tankers for new Foreign Affairs Policy Board," that the US State Department will from now on depend on permanent advisory drawn from the ranks of what it calls "think tank scholars." The article also notes that this move is similar to the already existing Defense Policy Board at the Pentagon, and that this is an effort to make the US State Department more like the Defense Department - however in which way the author is not clear.

Hillary Clinton Says Al Jazeera Is Putting American Media To Shame

Hillary Clinton was defending her department budget in front of the U.S. Foreign Policy Priorities committee this morning on C-Span.

She says a major reason the State Department needs money is because "we are in an information war and we are losing that war."

Clinton said private media is not good enough to handle the job: "Our private media cannot fill that gap. Our private media, particularly cultural programming often works at counter purposes to what we truly are as Americans. I remember having an Afghan general tell me that the only thing he thought about Americans is that all the men wrestled and the women walked around in bikinis because the only TV he ever saw was Baywatch and World Wide Wrestling

Hillary Clinton interrupted by protester heckler 15.02.2011

On Tuesday, February 15th Secretary of State Hillary Clinton gave a speech on the importance of Freedom of Speech in the Internet age. She focused her attention on foreign countries and chided them for curtailing the speech of their citizens.

During that speech Ray McGovern, a veteran who also served for 27 years as a CIA analyst, exercised his freedom of speech by standing and silently turning his back on Secretary Clinton. He was protesting the ongoing wars, the treatment of Bradley Manning and the militarism of U.S. foreign policy. He did not shout at the Secretary of State or interrupt her speech. He merely stood in silence. McGovern's action was a powerful one and it threatened the Secretary of State. Two police officers roughed him up, pulled him from the audience and arrested him. As you can see from the pictures, the 71 year old McGovern, was battered and bruised, indeed his attorney reports he was left in jail bleeding.

Hillary Clinton: Population Control Will Now Become The Centerpiece Of U.S. Foreign Policy

During remarks that she made for the 15th Anniversary of the International Conference on Population and Development, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announced the launch of a new program that according to Clinton will now become the centerpiece of U.S. foreign policy. This new program is known as the Global Health Initiative, and it is being incredibly well-funded at a time when the U.S. government is drowning in debt. According to Clinton, 63 billion dollars will be spent by the U.S. to prevent pregnancies and to improve "family planning" services around the globe over the next six years. In other words, the new centerpiece of U.S. foreign policy is all about eugenics and population control.

Hillary Clinton confirms, US trained Osama Bin Laden

Mrs. Hillary Clinton has officially admitted that the US trained Osama Bin Laden. In the ABC show she was saying that Pakistan supported the Taliban, and had changed its mind since 2001.

“That is changing… Now, I cannot sit here and tell you that it has changed, but that is changing,” she told ABC News in an interview, the transcripts of which was released by the State Department.

Ms. Clinton accepted that the U.S. had created certain radical outfits and supported terrorists like Osama bin Laden to fight against the erstwhile Soviet Union, but that backing has boomeranged. “Part of what we are fighting against right now, the United States created. We created the Mujahidin force against the Soviet Union (in Afghanistan). We trained them, we equipped them, we funded them, including somebody named Osama bin Laden. And it didn’t work out so well for us,” she said.

The Secretary of the State also said Pakistan is paying a “big price” for supporting U.S. war against terror groups in their own national interest. “But I think it is important to note that as they have made these adjustments in their own assessment of their national interests, they’re paying a big price for it,” Ms. Clinton said.

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton spoke today on the Obama administration's vision of American global leadership in the 21st century. She said that the US has the reach, resources and resolve to mobilize in order to solve global problems and that the world counts on the US to do so. Citing international sanctions on Iran and the US's reset with Russia she argues that the US model of global leadership is producing results. But is it also producing a renewal of American exceptionalism? RT contributor Webster Tarpley says the speech is a systematic attempt to deny reality, arguing that the US model has not been successful. He said the speech was unilateralism in disguise. "It's a rhetoric that obviously grates very much because of the arrogance, the complacency, the hypocrisy, the double standard," adds Tarpley.

The BBC reported on July 4 that US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said that the US ballistic missile base in Poland was not directed at Russia. The purpose of the base, she said, is to protect Poland from the Iranian threat.

Why would Iran be a threat to Poland? What happens to US credibility when the Secretary of State makes such a stupid statement? Does Hillary think she is fooling the Russians? Does anyone on earth believe her? What is the point of such a transparent lie? To cover up an act of American aggression against Russia?

Clinton to AIPAC: Israel’s security strengthens US

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told the country’s largest pro-Israel lobby on Monday that the Israeli-Palestinian status quo was “unsustainable,” while defending her recent criticism of east Jerusalem housing as in Israel’s interest to bring about peace.

“It is our devotion to this outcome – two states for two peoples, secure and at peace – that led us to condemn the announcement of plans for new construction in east Jerusalem,” she told the American Israel Public Affairs Committee annual conference, which came on the heels of some of the worst tension between the two countries in years after the new housing plan was announced during US Vice President Joe Biden’s recent trip to Jerusalem.

“This was not about wounded pride. Nor is it a judgment on the final status of Jerusalem, which is an issue to be settled at the negotiating table,” Clinton said of the US’s strong condemnation of the Ramat Shlomo construction plan, which she labeled an “insult” in the media. “This is about getting to the table, creating and protecting an atmosphere of trust around it – and staying there until the job is finally done.”

"Here are some companies," they write, "that could potentially benefit: General Electric, Caterpillar, Deere, Fluor, Jacobs Engineering."

US delegates left suitcases in their rooms of Marriot Hotel, changed for casual wear and went downstairs to see each other in the hall. The delegates decided to go out and find something more Russian and less expensive. The walk did not last long – the officials bought many bottles of Russian beer in a kiosk round the corner.

They returned to the hotel and spent several hours chatting and drinking beer. When all the bottles were emptied, the company decided to continue celebrating in a night club. They flagged down several cars and went to the nearest club.

Hillary Clinton wraps Asia trip by asking China to buy US debt

Clinton made the plea shortly before leaving China, the final stop on a four-nation Asian tour that also took her to Japan, Indonesia and South Korea, where she worked the crowds to try to restore America's standing abroad.

In Beijing, she called on authorities in Beijing to continue buying US Treasuries, saying it would help jumpstart the flagging US economy and stimulate imports of Chinese goods. "By continuing to support American Treasury instruments the Chinese are recognising our interconnection. We are truly going to rise or fall together," Clinton said at the US embassy here.

Clinton had sought to focus on economic and environmental issues in Beijing, saying Washington's concerns about the human rights situation in China should not be a distraction from those vital matters. Beijing's human rights record emerged nonetheless as an issue, as Chinese activists on Saturday reported being harassed or intimidated by Chinese authorities in a bid to stop them speaking out or meeting Clinton while she was here.
