Why Militants in Syria Can’t Shoot Down Russian UAVs

Russian drones are invisible to jihadist militants is Syria, who are unable to shoot them down, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said in an interview with Sputnik.

“You have seen the picture our military is sending in from Syrian airspace. You have also seen how accurate and stable our digital cameras really are. This means that our UAVs and their flight control system are so good that with all the advanced weapons the militants have, they can’t see or destroy them,” Rogozin said.

He added that it won’t be long before Russia has eliminated its lag behind the United States and Israel in the sphere of combat and reconnaissance UAVs.
